Junior Investment Associate

Reciprocus Financial Services Pte Ltd (www.reciprocus.com) is a global investment advisory boutique, assisting investors and companies on scouting, fundraising and portfolio management. We are looking for an individual with a strong desire to build a career in investment advisory with the natural capability to help drive our brand and providing our services across a variety of “hot” sectors and geographies.

 

The Role:

  • Closely support senior consultant to develop research methodologies (e.g. hypothesis, scopes, research questions and research objectives), specific to certain geographies, industries and companies;
  • Collect market intelligence via desktop research and targeted interviews (e.g. outbound calls to industry experts, corporate executives, relevant institutions);
  • Provide thoughtful analysis that ‘connects-the-dots’ by employing qualitative/quantitative techniques (e.g. statistical/regression, market sizing, growth projections, SWOT, competitive analysis, etc…);
  • Developing marketing memoranda including teasers and investor presentations on the basis of research findings and company briefs;
  • Build models to depict projected financial results and to value companies;
  • Assist in drafting tailored reports for clients (e.g. comprehensive industry/company overviews, market expansion strategy, etc…);
  • Assist senior team in providing scouting list and identify appropriate potentially interested investors or potential portfolio companies;
  • Pitch the project to institutions and strategic investors to attract their interest in the pitched investment opportunities;
  • Control project progress, cordinate touch-points, assist in negotiations and ultimately facilitate project transactions;
  • Assist in the post-investment management of the completed projects.

 

Requirements

  • Singapore Citizen or PR, minimum University Under-Graduates in business related discipline;
  • 1-2 years of family office, venture capital, private equity, consultancy, investment advisory or private placement agent experience;
  • Some relevant experience in an analytical capacity in company/industry research;
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a high degree of flexibility required to pursue opportunities and solve difficult business challenges;
  • Enjoys exposure to wide range of geographies and business models, and not necessarily industry specific;
  • We expect a client focused mentality, attention to detail and excellent self-leadership in managing time and tasks;
  • We expect someone who enjoys contributing to conversations, picking-up the phone, and being proactive in meetings; 
  • Willingness to occasionally travel within the region as well as intercontinentally  
  • Native English speaker, fluency in Mandarin and/or at least one other Southeast Asian language is an advantage (both spoken and written)

Junior Analyst, Corporate Expansion Strategies

Reciprocus International Pte Ltd is a global merger & acquisition advisory boutique, assisting investors and companies on cross-border expansion.  We are currently seeking a highly capable researcher and dynamic strategic thinker to join us as a Junior Analyst (full time). The role will have a focus on advising our corporate clients on cross-border expansion and investment initiatives.

 

The Role:

  • Closely support senior consultant to develop research methodologies (e.g. hypothesis, scopes, research questions and research objectives), specific to certain geographies, industries and companies;
  • Collect market intelligence via desktop research and targeted interviews (e.g. outbound calls to industry experts, corporate executives, relevant institutions);
  • Filter and assimilate research data into organized and structured forms;
  • Provide thoughtful analysis that ‘connects-the-dots’ by employing qualitative/quantitative techniques (e.g. statistical/regression, market sizing, growth projections, SWOT, competitive analysis, etc…);
  • Analyse and assess financial performance, identify hidden key competencies of businesses
  • Assess all forms of potential strategic partnerships (e.g. M&A, JV, Franchise, Contract Manufacturing) and develop the relevant business cases and financial models for clients
  • Put together research reports, investor presentations, pitch-books, teasers and company briefings on the basis of research findings and financial cases;
  • Assist in drafting tailored reports for clients (e.g. commercial due diligence studies, comprehensive industry overviews, concise situation briefings, etc…);
  • Scout for and identify potential merger and acquisition opportunities;
  • Assist senior team in providing input useful for the development of strategic recommendations for clients.

 

Requirements

  • Singapore Citizen or PR, minimum University Graduates with a business or technical specialization such as Accounting, Applied Math, Financial Reporting, Quantitative Social Science, Industrial Engineering;
  • 1-2 years of professional experience;
  • Approaches ambiguity as an opportunity to show structure and creativity;
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a high degree of flexibility required to pursue opportunities and solve difficult business challenges;
  • Enjoys exposure to wide range of geographies and business models, and not necessarily industry specific;
  • We expect a client-focused mentality, attention to detail and excellent self-leadership in managing time and tasks;
  • We expect someone who enjoys contributing to conversations, picking-up the phone, and being proactive in meetings; 
  • Native English speaker, fluency in Southeast Asian language is an advantage (both spoken and written).
